Week 9

Title of Activity
-Continue on doing the methodology, method that being used in this project and an explanations on each of the block diagram.
-Work plan on FYP1 and FYP2.
-Budget estimation for the project.
-Conclusion and reference.
-Submit the full proposal to the supervisors.

Objective
- To know what method being used in this project and the function of each component.
- To complete the proposal and submit it to the supervisors.
- To do a what to do list and do it in gantt chart for FYP1 and FYP2.
- To do an estimation on the budget for the project.
- To conclude that everything has been done and state the reference.

Content/Procedure
-Block Diagram.
-Explanation on each of the block diagram.
-Function on each block diagram.
-Gantt chart for S1 and S2
-Budget for the project

-7404 HEX INVERTER
  •  An inverter or NOT gate is a logic gate which implements logical negation. An inverter circuit outputs a voltage representing the opposite logic-level to its input. Inverters can be constructed using a single NMOS transistor or a single PMOS transistor coupled with a resistor.

-LCD 16x2
  •  LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen is an electronic display module and find a wide range of applications. A 16x2 LCD display is very basic module and is very commonly used in various devices and circuits. These modules are preferred over seven segments and other multi segment LEDs.

  • The time frame allocated for this project to complete is about 2 consecutive semesters.

 Result/Analysis
-As the result,  the methods in designing this Talking Voltmeter start with a software. In this project, the software used to analyze the circuit is the Electronic Workbench software and the Multisim software. Other than that, the software that is commonly used for the circuit design is the PCB Designer. 
- Upon completion of designing layout, the next step is for the prototype preparation. Since the target is to produce a low cost product so the first step is to make sure that the component price is relevant and not too expensive. The component price can be according to the budget capability by doing the survey in the market out there. 
- After the development of software and hardware is complete, the last process is to analyze the performance of the Talking Voltmeter. With the collected data from the analysis process, the performance of this Talking Voltmeter can be monitored and improved.

 Conclusions
 -As conclusion, this is the main component that will be used in this project and explanation about the block diagram, estimation time that needed to do the project and the estimation budget for this project. All of this  main item will make the process for this project will go smooth if anything according to plan.
